I joined in August 2016. I am a third year undergraduate working on a Chemistry B.S. with a writing certificate. Originally from Arizona, I moved here in 2011 and I am still getting used to the cold. I am currently doing research pertaining to density functional theory (DFT) methodology and improving the predictive powers of computational chemistry. In particular, I'm working on a project in which we aim to arrive at best practices for how to apply corrective on-site repulsion terms to localized electronic states in strongly correlated materials. I enjoy doing calligraphy in my free time and also work as a Resident Assistant in the dorms.
