I was born in Montgomery, Alabama and raised in Cleveland Heights, OH,  15 minutes from the home of the Cleveland Indians and The Rock Hall of Fame. I did research on molecular modeling of the stereoselective synthesis of pyrrolidines during my undergraduate studies. I have been working in collaboration with the Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology on investigating transition metal release from lithium ion battery cathode materials. During my free time I enjoy playing video/board games, watching movies, embroidery, crochet, and kayaking.
